PR-1105E | Date: 2/08/2011

The Commercial Section of the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) and the Taipei Book Fair Foundation are partnering once again to present the U.S.A. Pavilion at the Taipei International Book Exhibition (TIBE) 2011. This year, the U.S.A. Pavilion features thousands of children's and K-12 educational texts, language learning titles, some 150 magazines titles and an extensive collection of digital content. The U.S.A. Pavilion's opening ceremony will be held on Wednesday, February 9, at 12:00 noon. All media contacts and interested parties are invited to attend the ceremony.

In collaboration with the U.S. Department of Commerce's Global Publishing Team, AIT's Commercial Section recruited over 130 U.S. publishers, including several well-known children's and academic publishers such as Sesame Workshop, the National Science Teachers Association, and The University of Pennsylvania Press, to share their catalogs for promotion in the U.S.A. Pavilion and at future events around Taiwan. Additionally, Scholastic and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt will have thousands of their titles on display in their respective booths within the U.S.A. Pavilion.

For the first time, the U.S.A. Pavilion will showcase U.S. magazine titles covering a wide range of genres, including business and management, fashion and design, lifestyle and travel, sports, parenting, entertainment and more. The U.S.A. Pavilion will also highlight twelve U.S. digital content providers showcasing their web-based 2D and stereographic 3D interactive science educational content, e-journals, e-libraries, art archives and other digital databases.

In addition to the hundreds of publishers showcased in the U.S.A. Pavilion, AIT is pleased to introduce several VIP guests, who will speak at various seminars during TIBE 2011. Please contact AIT Commercial Section if you are interested in meeting with any of these special guests.
