All applicants must make an appointment for the interview, except for: applicants who are over the age of 80, certain applicants for diplomatic or official visas, and exchange visitor (J) visa applicants participating in a program sponsored by the U.S. Federal Government. All others please apply as early as possible.

Immigrant Visa (IV) Unit

• Applicants;
• Parents or legal guardians of applicant under 18 years old;
• Aides of disabled applicants;
• For adoption interview appointments only the adopting parents, adoptee children, and social workers may enter the consular section.

* Appointment holders may not be admitted more than 30 minutes before or after their appointment time.
