United States Announces Updated Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA)- Additional Enhancements to the Visa Waiver Program
On June 17, 2016 the United States announced additional changes under the Visa Waiver Program Improvement and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act of 2015, including an updated ESTA application form. The new law does not ban travel to the United States, or admission into the United States, and the great majority of VWP travelers will not be affected by the legislation. Did you submit an entry for the United States Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery?
Remember to check dvlottery.state.gov to check the status of your entry. The Department of State never uses email to notify entrants that they are selected for the DV program. Notification of selection only is available by directly accessing “Entrant Status Check” on the E-DV website. Official notifications of selection will be available May 2, 2017, through September 30, 2018, on the E-DV website dvlottery.state.gov.

"Abandon Permanent Resident Status Schedule Change”
Effective immediately, submissions of abandonment of legal permanent residency (LPR) will only be held on the first and third Thursday of every month from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm (except holidays). LPR abandonments will only be held at these times. Individuals seeking to abandon their LPR status should appear in-person with their required documents at the Immigrant Visa Unit within these designated service hours. (Posted on 2016/08/24, IV)

New Procedures for Passport and Visa Delivery
Before your visa interview please register at www.ustraveldocs.com/tw to select a delivery address for your passport's delivery. If your visa application is approved, your passport and visa will be delivered to the pick-up location you selected. There are no extra fees associated with this service. (Posted 2015/12/30, IV)
