On Thursday, April 18, the Commercial Section of the American Institute in Taiwan Kaohsiung Branch Office and the Discover America Taiwan Committee will launch the latest edition of this year’s My Dream Vacation USA program. My Dream Vacation USA is an innovative program that promotes U.S. destinations through quarterly theme-based media events. The theme for this event will be:

Sports: Spectator and recreational sports are an important part of the Taiwan tourist’s journey to the United States. From skiing and hiking to watching baseball and basketball, these are but a few of many options from which to choose.

The organizers of My Dream Vacation USA are pleased to announce the continuation of the quarterly photo contests, which are open to the Taiwan public. Participants are requested to submit a photo that is representative of the new quarterly theme to the My Dream Vacation USA website (http://www.vacationUSA.com.tw) by June 15, 2013. The grand prize winner of each photo contest will receive a free round-trip ticket from Taipei to the United States.

Moreover, the Taiwan public is invited to visit the My Dream Vacation USA website and vote on their favorite photo. All voters will be entered into a lucky-draw by June 25 for the chance to win a free round-trip ticket to the United States. The airline tickets are sponsored by Delta Airlines.

A total of approximately 57 participants are supporting My Dream Vacation USA, including U.S. states, U.S. cities, U.S. territories, shopping destinations, an amusement park, American and Taiwan Airlines, local travel agents, and other U.S. destinations and service providers.
