Welcome to the American Institute in Taiwan, Consular Section. Our office is located at No.7, Lane 134, Xin Yi Road, Sec.3, Taipei. The Consular Section of the American Institute in Taiwan offers a wide variety of visa services to the Taiwan traveling public.

We look forward to welcoming qualified visitors to our country for tourism, business, study, cultural and other purposes. If you are interested in travelling to the Unites States this summer for tourism, there are different options available to you.

Visa Waiver Program (VWP)

If you are planning to go to the United states for less than 90 days for business or tourism, you might be eligible to travel using VWP.  In order to apply for VWP, you must first apply for authorization through ESTA.  For answers to common questions about VWP, click here.

Visitor’s Visa (B1/B2)

Unlike VWP, B1/B2 visas do not have a 90 day limit.   We recommend that travelers needing visas begin the visa application process as early as possible. Start the process here.

Other Purposes of Travel
