AIT Director Burghardt to Address ASA Annual Convention

American Institute in Taiwan Director Raymond F. Burghardt will deliver the keynote address on the topic "The U.S. Role in the Taiwan Straits in the 21st Century" at the annual convention of the American Studies Association on December 18, 1999.

The annual convention will begin at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, December 18, in the Theater of the Audio-Visual Center, National Taiwan University, 170, Hsin Hai Road, Section 2, Taipei. Director Burghardt's keynote address will begin at 9:30 a.m. Those with interest in U.S.-Taiwan relations are welcome to attend.
