American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) will be closed for NONIMMIGRANT VISA visa (including student visa) processing on January 3 and 4, 2000, in order to be available to assist American citizens in Taiwan and elsewhere in the region with problems which may arise as a result of the Y2K computer bug. Travelers with a life or death emergency requiring visa services during AIT's visa closure should send a fax to 2709-0908 or visit the public information window at AIT.

AMERICAN CITIZENS SERVICES WILL CONTINUE AS NORMAL THROUGH THE PERIOD.
