American Institute in Taiwan Commercial Section Presents: USA Pavilion at the Taipei International Travel Fair November 4-7, 1999, Taipei, Taiwan

The American Institute in Taiwan Commercial Section announces the USA Pavilion at the Taipei International Travel Fair on November 4-7. According to a recent report by AIT's Commercial Section, the United States ranks among the four most popular outbound destinations for travelers from Taiwan and is the most popular long-haul destination for Taiwan travelers.
The 11-booth USA Pavilion will include the following organizations: AIU Insurance Company Taiwan Branch, Alaska Airlines, Anchorage Convention and Visitors Bureau, America West Airlines, Federal Insurance, Holland-America Cruise Line, Idaho Asia Trade Office, Massachusetts Port Authority and Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism, Montana Taipei Office, Nevada Commission on Tourism, Oregon Tourism Commission, and the State of Washington.
AIT Travel Services Section officer John Hill will speak on how travel agents can increase the timeliness of visa processing for their clients visiting the United States at an invitation-only seminar sponsored by USA Pavilion participants. Several organizations, including Holland-America Line, Northwest Airlines, America West Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Starbucks Coffee (for Washington State), and the Idaho, Massachusetts and Montana Taipei tourism offices are donating door prizes to be given at the seminar.
In addition to the AIT seminar, Holland-America Line and four Northwest U.S.A. states (Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington) will offer daily seminars on exciting new tourism opportunities for the Year 2000.
