The American Institute in Taiwan Commercial Section announces the opening of MARKETING USA '99: NEW PRODUCTS CATALOG EXHIBITION at the Taipei World Trade Center on September 20.
Iowa Governor Thomas Vilsack, AIT Director Raymond Burghardt, and China External Trade Development Council Deputy Secretary General Richard Tsai will open the show with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m., Monday, September 20, at the Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall, Conference Rooms 3-4-5 (2nd floor). The press is invited to cover the ceremony.
Taiwan importers will be able to review catalogs from more than 260 U.S. companies covering 26 sectors, the majority of which are new to the Taiwan market.
The companies are from all over the United States, with special focus on 12 states: Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio, Virginia, and West Virginia. These states will send trade representatives from their state governments to Taipei to participate in the show. The U.S. Department of Commerce is sending two representatives to coordinate the event and display the catalogs of firms from other states.
This show provides Taiwan businesses with the opportunity to make contact with U.S. companies seeking to enter the Taiwan market, and to establish relationships with several U.S. state trade representatives. Any Taiwan businesses interested in increasing their commercial relations with American firms are welcome to attend. Advance registration is required for this event and registration is free.
"MARKETING USA '99: NEW PRODUCTS CATALOG EXHIBITION" is organized by the U.S. Department of Commerce. In addition to Taipei, the exhibition will travel to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; Chengdu, and Shanghai, China.
