1999 American Food Festival
The American Institute in Taiwan Agricultural Trade Office is pleased to announce that the 1999 American Food Festival will be held September 6-7 (Taipei) and September 9-10 (Kaohsiung) at the Howard Plaza Hotel, and September 13-14 (Taichung) at the Evergreen Laurel Hotel.
The 1999 American Food Festival is sponsored by the AIT Agricultural Trade Office, the Importers & Exporters Association of Taipei, the Kaohsiung Importers & Exporters Association, the Importers & Exporters Association of Taichung, the Western United States Agricultural Trade Association (WUSATA), and the U.S. Meat Export Federation. U.S. State Offices in Taiwan representing Alaska, California, Idaho, Missouri, and Washington are also sponsors. The show will feature food and beverages and product catalogs from participating states.
Among the many U.S. products to be displayed and sampled at the 1999 exhibition are seed potatoes and pesticide-free vegetables from Alaska; fresh/canned fruits & vegetables, potato products, organic wheat, food ingredients, and dairy products from Idaho; organic fruits & vegetables, and processed foods from Washington; specialty soybean products from Missouri; various organic products, e.g. sprouting seeds, specialty grains, buffalo meat, and wine, from Western U.S. States; breakfast cereals, fresh fruits, beverages, ice cream, and condiments from California; as well as juices, cheese products, food ingredients, candy/chocolates, nuts, and ostrich meat from other States. U.S. Meat Export Federation invites you to see its display and sample quality meat products from the United States.
In conjunction with the 1999 American Food Festival, many educational seminars with renowned speakers from U.S./Taiwan food industry will be conducted during the Festival in Taipei, Kaohsiung, and Taichung as follows:
