New Chief of AIT Kaohsiung Branch Stephen D. Dunn Assumes Duties

Stephen D. Dunn, the new Chief of the American Institute in Taiwan Kaohsiung Branch Office, will take up his duties June 24, 1999. Mr. Dunn is replacing Darrell A. Jenks.
Mr. Dunn joined the Foreign Service in 1986. Prior to joining AIT, he served as Vice Consul in Merida, Mexico for 18 months, Second Secretary in Beijing for two years, Deputy Chief of the Travel Services Section in Taipei for four years, and Consul in Guangzhou between 1995 and 1998.
He is a graduate of Arkansas State University, with a major in history (1980). He earned a Master's degree in Asian Studies at University of Arizona (1982). He also studied Chinese at Taiwan National Normal University (1981) and political science at Chinese University of Hong Kong (1977).
Mr. Dunn was born in Arkansas in June 1958. He is married and has two children, one girl and one boy.
