It's the 4th of July and AIT's U.S. Agricultural Trade Office, the U.S. Meat Export Federation, the U.S.A. Poultry & Egg Export Council, the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute, the U.S. Potato Board, the California Treefruit Agreement and the California Wine Institute are co-sponsoring an All-American Food Celebration at the Grand Formosa Regent Hotel in Taipei and the Grand Formosa Hotel in Taichung, from June 17 to July 25.

From June 17 to July 4, you can sample savory treats off seven menus to be featured in the Steak House, Teppanyaki, Brasserie, Court and Gallery restaurants of the Grand Formosa Regent Hotel in Taipei. Similar culinary delights will be available from July 1 to 25 at the Grand Formosa hotel in Taichung.

Some of the dishes to be featured include sauteed wild Alaskan salmon with braised fennel, grilled U.S. tenderloin of Black Angus beef with pablano jelly, sauteed U.S. chicken with California plum chutney, fresh tomatoes and steamed U.S. new potatoes, and ripe California summer fruits, all of which can be accompanied by delicate or spicy California wines.

A special guest band, "The Grandsons", from Washington, DC, also will perform their unique blend of American music. "The Grandsons" have delighted audiences at music festivals across the United States including Texas' South by Southwest Music Festival, Colorado's Rocky Gap Festival, North Carolina's Black Mountain Festival, and Pennsylvania's Musikfest. They have also played at the Kennedy Center and at the Barns at Wolf Trap, Virginia. This is an event you don't want to miss!
