AIT Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Richard C. Bush to Visit Taiwan

Dr. Richard C. Bush, Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of the American Institute in Taiwan, will visit Taiwan from January 24 to February 5, 1999. During the first part of his visit, Dr. Bush will tour central and southern Taiwan. Then, in Taipei, he will meet with Taiwan authorities and business leaders, and will address the American Chamber of Commerce in Taipei at their annual "Hsin Nien Fan" event.

No press statement is planned for Dr. Bush's arrival, however, he will meet with the media for an on-the-record press conference prior to his departure on February 5,1999. Details of media availability will be announced separately.
