The American Institute in Taiwan Agricultural Trade Office is pleased to present the 1997 American Food Festival, a food industry trade show, which will be held September 22-23 at the American Cultural Center Auditorium at 54 Nan Hai Road, Taipei, and September 25-26 in the Laurel Ball Room of the Evergreen Laurel Hotel in Taichung, and October 1-2 in the B2 Grand Ball Room of the Linden Hotel in Kaohsiung.

Sponsored by the AIT Agricultural Trade Office, the Importers & Exporters Association of Taipei, the Importers & Exporters Association of Taichung, the Kaohsiung Importers & Exporters Association, the China External Trade Development Council (CETRA), the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF), and the USA Poultry & Egg Export Council, Inc. (USAPEC), together with seven U.S. State Offices on Taiwan (Alaska, California, Idaho, Missouri , Montana, Oregon, and Washington), the show will feature food and beverage sample products and product catalogs from the participating states, the USMEF, and the USAPEC. There will be many new-to-market food and beverage items which we believe will have good market potential and will appeal to Taiwan consumers.

The U.S. food and agricultural products to be displayed and sampled at this year's exhibition include fresh fruits & vegetables, grains, processed foods, snack foods, organic foods, health foods, food ingredients, food additives, fruit juices, beers, wines, mineral water, pet foods, feed additives, emu meat, ice cream, yogurt, dairy products, and more. Also, the U.S. Meat Export Federation and the USA Poultry & Egg Export Council, Inc., in particular, would like to invite visitors to see their displays and sample their quality meat and poultry products from the United States. Most of the over 100 U.S. companies are participating in the Festival for the purpose of finding Taiwan importers and distributors for their products.

In conjunction with the 1997 American Food Festival, the Western United States Agricultural Trade Association (WUSATA) will also be bringing in a delegation of four organic food companies from Montana which will be displaying various organic food products at this show. Taiwan companies interested in organic foods are welcome to visit the displays at the Montana booth and sample the organic food products.

AIT cordially invites Taiwan's food industry executives and food importers to attend the 1997 American Food Festival. Come sample the products and meet the representatives who are looking forward to introducing you to the variety of quality U.S. food and beverages. Show hours for the 1997 American Food Festival are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the first day and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the second day.
