AIT Deputy Director to Present Importer and Investor of the Year Awards at American Chamber of Commerce in Kaohsiung's Annual Gala

AIT Deputy Director Robert Forden will present the Importer of the Year Award to Kaohsiung-based E United Group, a long-time importer of American-manufactured products and technologies.  The award was established by the American Institute in Taiwan in 2007 to recognize southern Taiwan companies dedicated to importing American technology to Taiwan. Deputy Director Forden will also present the Investor of the Year Award to Tainan based Hanlin International Corporation, a food and beverage focused company that has substantial investments on the west coast of the United States. This award was established in 2015 to recognize AIT’s appreciation for foreign direct investment into the United States. The awards will be presented during the American Chamber of Commerce in Kaohsiung’s Annual Gala on Friday, April 21, 2017.

In addition to presenting the award, Deputy Director Forden and Taiwan officials will deliver remarks at the event.
