AIT Statement on Earthquake in Southern Taiwan

On behalf of the people of the United States, the American Institute in Taiwan offers our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to all of those affected by today's earthquake in southern Taiwan.  We also commend the emergency personnel who continue working to rescue and assist victims of this natural disaster.  The United States is ready to work with Taiwan to provide assistance and support as needed.  The American people stand with the people of Taiwan during this difficult time.
