AIT Representatives to Visit Taitung January 8 to Provide U.S. Citizen Services

PR-1566E | Date: 12/17/2015

Are you a U.S. citizen who needs to renew your U.S. passport, obtain a Consular Report of Birth Abroad for a newborn, or have a document notarized?  Representatives of the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), Kaohsiung Branch Office, will visit Taitung City on Friday, January 8, 2016 to provide those consular services and answer questions.

Services will be offered from 10:40 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. at the National Immigration Agency Service Center in Taitung, located at 95 Chang-Sha Street, Taitung City.

Please check our website at http://kaohsiung.ait.org.tw/us-passports.html for more information on required application forms, special U.S. passport photo size, and current fees.  Please bring an A4-sized photocopy of your passport and a photo ID.

Note that passport applications for minor children under the age of 16 require signatures and personal appearance by both parents and the child.  Please review our website at http://kaohsiung.ait.org.tw/children-under-sixteen.html.

In order for us to mail back your new passport or other documents, please prepare a self-addressed envelope with 50 New Taiwan Dollars (NTD) in postage.  During this outreach visit, we will only be able to accept cash in NTD; please bring exact change for your requested service.

If you have any questions, please contact AIT Kaohsiung at (07) 335-5006 or WardenKAO@state.gov.
