U.S. Senior Official for APEC to Visit Taiwan January 31-February 3

Robert S. Wang, U.S. Senior Official for Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), is scheduled to visit Taiwan from January 31-February 3, 2015.

During his visit to Taiwan, Dr. Wang will meet with Taiwan officials and business leaders to exchange views on this year’s APEC agenda and other trade and economic matters of mutual concern.

Dr. Wang assumed the role of U.S. Senior Official for APEC in August 2013. He is a career Foreign Service Officer in the U.S. Department of State. Previously, Dr. Wang was Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing from January 2011 to August 2013, and was Deputy Director of the American Institute in Taiwan from August 2006 to September 2009. He was a visiting fellow with the Freeman Chair in China Studies at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) from September 2009 to December 2010.
