AIT To Present Importer of the Year Award at American Chamber of Commerce in Kaohsiung's Annual Gala

AIT Director Christopher J. Marut will present the Importer of the Year Award to Kaohsiung-based K. L. & Ling International Inc., a long-time importer of American-manufactured crepe paper and release agents for tapes. The award was established by the American Institute in Taiwan in 2007 to recognize Taiwan companies dedicated to importing American technology to Taiwan. The award will be presented at the American Chamber of Commerce Kaohsiung Annual Gala on Thursday, April 10, 2014.

In addition to presenting the award, Director Marut and Taiwan officials will deliver remarks at the event. The Annual Gala will also feature the presentation of AmCham Kaohsiung's Southern Taiwan White Paper. The White Paper will provide private sector recommendations on economic development in Kaohsiung, Pingtung County and Tainan.

"The AmCham Kaohsiung Annual Gala, the AmCham White Paper, and the Importer of the Year award continue to be landmark traditions in strengthening the international climate in southern Taiwan,” said AIT Kaohsiung Branch Chief Gary Oba.
