Deputy U.S. Trade Representative Demetrios Marantis to Visit Taiwan March 11-12

Deputy United States Trade Representative Demetrios Marantis will lead an interagency delegation to Taiwan March 11th and 12th for meetings of the U.S.-Taiwan Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA) Council, held under the auspices of the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office (TECRO). The delegation will also participate in related bilateral meetings.

Ambassador Marantis will be joined in his meetings by officials from USTR and the U.S. Departments of State, Commerce, and Agriculture, as well as officials from AIT. The TIFA is the core mechanism through which the United States and Taiwan explore ways to deepen our economic relationship.
