Taste American Wine at Wine & Gourmet Taipei

The Agricultural Trade Office (ATO) of the American Institute in Taiwan invites wine lovers to a Master Class "How to Throw a Perfect Summer Wine Party" at  Wine & Gourmet Taipei from 1:00 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. on July 21, 2012.  The speaker, Jessica Chang, Associate member of the Institute of Wines & Spirits, will introduce wine lovers to the basics of throwing a fine wine party, including wine selection, wine serving practices, and food & wine pairing guideline.  In addition, wine lovers will be able to sample several varieties of U.S. wines from California, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.

Advanced registration is required and there is an additional fee for the Master Class on top of the show admittance fee.  Online registration is available through http://tickets.books.com.tw/progshow/02050005536440.  The Master Class "How to Throw a Perfect Summer Wine Party" will take place on July 21:

In addition to the Master Class, ATO will also have a USA Pavilion (Booth #: A1) that features more than 30 wines during the show from July 20 to 22.   The brands participating in USA Pavilion include Chateau Ste. Michelle, Coastal Ridge, Columbia Crest, Dierberg, Domaine Serene, Elk Cove, Firesteed, Fox Hollow, Koenig, McManis, Star Lane, and Quady.  The US wine-growing regions and winemakers are diverse, which can be attributed to the varying microclimates that enable the US to grow a broad range of varietals.  The ATO cordially invites wine lovers to visit the USA Pavilion to sample the diversity of US wines at Wine & Gourmet Taipei. 

Wine & Gourmet Taipei is the largest wine show  dedicated to connecting Taiwan wine enthusiasts with purveyors of every wine imaginable.  The show this year runs from July 20 to 22, with July 20 open to the trade only and July 21-22 to the consumers who purchase tickets.
