AIT Presents Importer of the Year Award at American Chamber of Commerce in Kaohsiung Annual Gala

AIT Director William A. Stanton will present the Importer of the Year Award to Kaohsiung-based Kung Hai Enterprise Corp., a long-time importer of American-manufactured industrial products that serve Taiwan’s high-tech and electronics industries.  The award was established by the American Institute in Taiwan in 2007 to recognize Taiwan companies dedicated to importing American technology to Taiwan.  The award will be presented at the American Chamber of Commerce Kaohsiung Annual Gala on Thursday, March 22.

In addition to presenting the award, Director Stanton and Taiwan officials will deliver remarks at the event.  The Annual Gala will also feature the presentation of AmCham Kaohsiung's Southern Taiwan White Paper.  The White Paper will provide private sector recommendations on economic development in Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County and, new for this year, Tainan. 

"The AmCham Kaohsiung Annual Gala, the AmCham White Paper, and the Importer of the Year award are becoming important traditions in strengthening the international climate in southern Taiwan,” said AIT Kaohsiung Branch Chief Gary Oba.
