America Month Kicks-Off at Kaohsiung Dream Mall on June 30

In partnership with the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) Kaohsiung Branch Office, AIT Agricultural Trade Office (ATO), and the Formosa Cancer Foundation, Kaohsiung Dream Mall will host its 3rd annual America Month on June 30 - July 27.

Themed “See The American Dream,” Dream Mall’s America Month will highlight a wide variety of United States products, including food and beverages, cosmetics, footwear, apparel, accessories, toys, health and beauty goods, and household appliances with special activities, promotional discounts, and free samples. The Disney Channel, Microsoft Xbox 360, Coca-Cola’s 125th Anniversary, and Transformers 3, the blockbuster motion picture to be released in theaters this summer, will run special exhibits throughout the Dream Mall. Additionally, AIT is pleased to present Picturing America, an exhibition of artwork that offers historical insight into the character, ideals, and aspirations of the United States.

In celebration of American Independence Day, Dream Mall’s America Month promotion will be in full-swing on July 2-3 with an outdoor carnival offering something for everyone in the family. It is with great pleasure that AIT invites all of our friends to join this celebration of the United States' friendship with Taiwan. Don’t miss the fun!

All media representatives are cordially invited to attend an America Month press conference to be held in Dream Mall’s 8th floor auditorium on Friday, July 1 at 11:00 a.m. Pre-registration is not required. Legislative Yuan Speaker and Formosa Cancer Foundation President Wang Jin-Pyng will speak about the Foundation’s “Five-Seven-Nine” nutrition program to prevent cancer. AIT Kaohsiung Branch Chief Chris Castro, AIT/ATO Director Valerie Brown-Jones, and Uni-President Group CEO Jason Lin will also deliver VIP remarks and introduce American products to be featured during America Month.
