Meet over 100 U.S. School Representatives in Taiwan This Spring

The Commercial Section of the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) is pleased to announce that more than 100 school representatives from U.S. schools, colleges and universities will be in Taiwan this spring at a number of different venues to introduce their educational institutions to Taiwan students and parents.
Why study in the United States? The United States has more than 4,300 colleges and universities, which offer Taiwan students excellent educational facilities, faculty and programs. Obtaining a degree from a U.S. college or university prepares you for a lifetime of learning and can create opportunities to a wide range of professions in the United States and Taiwan. The most remarkable feature of the U.S. educational system is its diversity. Students may choose from a wide range of educational options, from large public universities to private research universities to community colleges to vocational and technical schools. The goal is not to find the "best" university, but to find the school that "best" fits you! This spring, Taiwan students will have plenty of opportunities to meet with representatives from over 100 U.S. schools, in person or virtually, at the following fairs:
- Co-sponsored by AIT's Commercial Section, the OH! Study Education Fair will take place from March 12-15, 2011, in Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung. Representatives from 35 U.S. schools, including UC Irvine, New York Film Academy and the University of Oregon, will be in Taiwan to meet face-to-face with interested students. - Also co-sponsored by AIT's Commercial Section, Taiwan's first-ever Hobsons' Virtual Student Fair will be held on March 12, 2011, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The virtual fair allows students to join online from anywhere and interact with representatives from 60 U.S. universities, including Ohio University and New York Institute of Technology. - The Spring American International Education Foundation AIEF Fair will take place from March 19 - 22, 2011 in Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung. 15 U.S. schools will be present at the fair, including Hawaii Pacific University and University of Dallas. - The Asia Pacific Association of International Education (APAIE) will hold its annual international education fair at National Taiwan University's Sports Center on March 12, 2011. Representatives from 18 U.S. universities, including the University of Southern California, Temple University and the University of North Texas will be present at the fair.
