PR-1109E | Date: 3/04/2011

The Commercial Section of the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) is pleased to announce that more than 100 school representatives from U.S. schools, colleges and universities will be in Taiwan this spring at a number of different venues to introduce their educational institutions to Taiwan students and parents.

Why study in the United States? The United States has more than 4,300 colleges and universities, which offer Taiwan students excellent educational facilities, faculty and programs. Obtaining a degree from a U.S. college or university prepares you for a lifetime of learning and can create opportunities to a wide range of professions in the United States and Taiwan. The most remarkable feature of the U.S. educational system is its diversity. Students may choose from a wide range of educational options, from large public universities to private research universities to community colleges to vocational and technical schools. The goal is not to find the "best" university, but to find the school that "best" fits you! This spring, Taiwan students will have plenty of opportunities to meet with representatives from over 100 U.S. schools, in person or virtually, at the following fairs:

  • Co-sponsored by AIT's Commercial Section, the OH! Study Education Fair will take place from March 12-15, 2011, in Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung. Representatives from 35 U.S. schools, including UC Irvine, New York Film Academy and the University of Oregon, will be in Taiwan to meet face-to-face with interested students.
