International Education Week (IEW) aims to celebrate the value of international educational exchange in developing mutual understanding and respect around the world. It is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education that celebrates the benefits of international education and exchange.
Education is an important link between the United States and Taiwan. Taiwan is among the world's leading sources of students to the United States, and more than twenty members of Taiwan's current cabinet studied in the United States. AIT is pleased to work with the U.S. State Department-affiliated EducationUSA center in Taiwan located at the Foundation for Scholarly Exchange (www.educationusa.tw). This center offers accurate, comprehensive, objective and timely information about educational opportunities in the United States, and provides guidance on how best to access those opportunities.
