PR-1043E | Date: 6/23/2010
To celebrate the United States' Independence Day, the Commercial Section and Agricultural Trade Office of the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) have once again teamed up with Miramar Entertainment Park and Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi Place to organize America Month retail events over the summer. AIT invites all its friends from Taiwan to visit the events and join the celebrations.
The theme for this year's America Month event at Miramar Entertainment Park is "It's So Beautiful/It's So American!" From June 17 to July 4, all of Miramar's American products and restaurants will provide special deals. Miramar will also hold several special activities, including a jean shorts beauty pageant competition on June 26, Independence Day fireworks on July 3, and an American rock and roll concert on July 4.
Shin Kong Mitsukoshi's America Month theme is "Dreams Come True," and their festivities will run from June 30 to July 21. AIT Director William A. Stanton will participate in the June 30 opening ceremony, which will include a cheerleading group performance and a sampling of American gourmet food. A variety of activities have been lined up, including a "Picturing America" seminar hosted by AIT's Public Affairs Section, parties hosted by Sesame Street character Elmo and Cartoon Network character Ben 10, a makeup techniques demonstration by Betty Boop Cosmetics, a singing performance of Mr. Kent John, Schoenhut toy piano concert by Austrian pianist Isabel Ettenauer, FIFA2010 on XBOX, and so on. Visitors will definitely find the trip worthwhile!
AIT encourages everyone to visit Miramar Entertainment Park and Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi Place to participate in the America Month activities. Come experience firsthand why "It's So Beautiful," and make "Dreams Come True"! For more event information, please visit the official websites of Miramar and Shin Kong Mitsukoshi, respectively.
