Department of Homeland Security Official Visits Taiwan April 27-30

Mariko Silver, Acting Assistant Secretary for International Policy at the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS), is scheduled to visit Taiwan from April 27 through April 30, 2010 to participate in the International Conference on Homeland Security organized by the Executive Yuan.

Ms. Silver will deliver a keynote speech on international cooperation on travel and transportation security at the conference.  During her stay in Taiwan, she will also meet with several ministries to exchange views on matters of mutual interest.
