AIT and Miramar Entertainment Park Collaborate on America Month Event

The American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) Commercial Section and Miramar Entertainment Park have collaborated to organize an America Month event to celebrate the 233rd Independence Day of the United States of America.  AIT extends a warm invitation for everyone to visit Miramar from June 19 to July 5, 2009 to enjoy the festive atmosphere and a variety of activities.       

Children and adults alike enjoy visiting Miramar Entertainment Park, which includes a shopping mall, a movie theater, and a Ferris wheel.  The theme for Miramar's America Month event is "American Beauty and Strength" and features products and activities that reflect an energetic American lifestyle, its free spirit, and multi-faceted culture.  

During the America Month, over 100 American brands, including apparel, cosmetics, food and wine, and restaurants, will offer special activities and discounts to create a joyful and entertaining shopping experience at Miramar.  The Ocean Way will transform into an avenue showcasing Ice Age 3 games, Transformer toys, a Rock N' Roll lion, Hawaiian goods, and snack foods.  In addition, Oh! Study will provide free counseling to Taiwan students interested in going to the United States for degrees or short-term education programs.     

A variety of events are scheduled during the America Month, such as the premiere of the latest Ice Age movie "Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs," Disney storytelling sessions, Johnson & Johnson's singing and dancing show, a U.S. education seminar, and a live graffiti demonstration.  The Fourth of July will be the climax of the America Month event, and several activities are planned for that day, including a toddlers' parade, cheerleading performance, Hawaiian hula dance performance, hip-hop dancing, and a grand finale with a 233-second fireworks display!

Moreover, in order to promote U.S. tourist destinations for the upcoming summer vacation season, Miramar is offering fantastic lucky draw prizes to satisfy your travel needs.  The grand prize includes two roundtrip air tickets to New York City sponsored by United Airlines and a free car rental sponsored by Hertz.  Other enticing prizes include an Apple iPhone, iPod, Samsonite suitcase, Burt's Bees lotion, and Miramar vouchers.

The Taipei MRT Neihu Line will commence its operation soon.  AIT and Miramar strongly encourage Taipei residents to take the MRT to the JianNan Road Station to participate in these America Month events and celebrate Independence Day with AIT!
