Former U.S. Cabinet Official Norman Mineta Leads ILF U.S.-Asia Cooperation Delegation to Visit Taiwan December 10-12

Norman Mineta, former U.S. Congressman, Secretary of Transportation and Secretary of Commerce, and honorary Chairman of the International Leadership Foundation (ILF), will lead an 18-member ILF US-Asia Cooperation delegation to visit Taiwan from December 10 to 12, 2008 as part of ILF's Asian trip to enhance leadership exchanges between the U.S. and the Pacific Rim.
The delegation will call on President Ma Ying-jeou and Premier Liu Chao-shiuan during its stay in Taiwan. On Friday, December 12, the ILF will host its first Global Advisory Council Inauguration and awards ceremony at the Banquet Hall of Taipei International Convention Center from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Honorable Norma Mineta will be the keynote speaker and Director Stephen M. Young, American Institute in Taipei will make remarks.
The ILF is a non-profit organization headquartered in Washington D.C. It promotes the civic awareness and economic effectiveness of the Asian Pacific American community.
