LED Lighting Certification Series

PR0855E | Date: 2008-08-27

In the wake of positive feedback and many inquiries following the LED Lighting Safety Standards seminar last May, the Commercial Section of the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) is working with UL Taiwan to organize a seminar focusing on LED Lighting Certification Series.

With the information gathered from customers, UL specifically designed a four-day course highlighting a series of LED lighting certifications tailored for LED lighting manufacturers' current level of awareness.  The course covers a wide range of subjects, including safety standards, engineering construction, and hazard-free concepts for product designs, individual lighting standards and testing for LED light sources, safety requirements for critical component power/drive, and how continuously to comply with UL safety requirements.

By holding the seminar, UL and AIT hope local firms will thoroughly understand UL's certification procedures and safety regulation technologies for LED lighting.  Local firms are invited to designate relevant staff - especially those involved in safety regulations, product designs, and manufacturing processes - to attend the seminar.

The date and venue of the seminar are provided below:

  • Date:     September 16-19, 2008
  • Venue:    UL Taiwan Co., Ltd.
  • Address:  3rd Floor, 260 Da-Yeh Rd., Beitou, Taipei
(Near MRT Danshui Line Qiyan Station)

Detailed information about the agenda, registration, payment, and the discount on UL Taiwan testing services for seminar attendees are available on UL's website at www.ul.com.tw.   For other related information and services, please contact UL Taiwan:
