Seminar on 2008 U.S. National Electrical Code

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Taiwan, the Commercial Section of the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) and UL Taiwan are organizing a seminar about the U.S. National Electrical Code (NEC) on September 8, 2008. The seminar is offered free of charge to local manufacturers to express UL's gratitude for their long-term support and patronage of UL's testing and certification services. UL Taiwan has invited an American standards expert to lead the seminar.

UL Taiwan has been cooperating and growing with Taiwan manufacturers for 20 years. The company has not only made significant investments in facilities and human resource cultivation, but has also continuously provided training seminars to share the latest global product safety knowledge and skills with local firms.

NEC is a safety standards code that is used by U.S. government agencies for electric facilities. The code is also the main foundation upon which UL develops its standards. The code mainly regulates requirements for electric circuits for facilities and buildings while installing electric products. This seminar will be a good opportunity for Taiwan firms to thoroughly understand U.S. electric standards requirements. Date and Venue of the seminar are:

  • Time: 9:00-16:30, Monday, September 8, 2008
  • Venue: UL Taiwan Co., Ltd. (3F, #260 Da-Yeh Rd., Peitou, Taipei) (Near Qiyan MRT Station - Danshui/Beitou line)
