AIT's Commercial Section is recruiting for an International Buyer Program (IBP) to the IFT Food Expo to be held in New Orleans, Louisiana June 28 to July 1, 2008.
IFT Food Expo, the biggest food event in the world, showcases the very latest trends and newest product innovations in the food industry. The event attracts top food science/technology and industry professionals from around the world, especially those with roles in procurement, research and development, and marketing. With over 1,000 exhibitors each year, the Expo provides buyers a great opportunity to learn about the latest product trends and talk directly with suppliers.
This year, IFT Food Expo takes place in New Orleans, with a theme of "Driving Growth and Sustainability through Innovation." At a time when there is a global shortage of food and when food prices are skyrocketing, this theme will help the food industry to tend to both business growth and environmental sustainability.
This show covers all aspects of the food industry, including food materials, additives, spices, food technology, food analysis services, lab equipment, food processing equipment, food packaging equipment, and supplies. There are also four specialty pavilions on the expo floor that showcase emerging industry trends, such as Healthy Food Ingredients, Organic Food Ingredients, Food Safety & Quality, and International Food.
IFT is participating in the U.S. Department of Commerce's International Buyer Program. The International Buyer Program is intended to foster international trade relationships between the United States and other countries within high-growth industries, thereby promoting U.S. exports. The fact that IFT is participating in the International Buyer Program also indicates that the show organizer highly values international buyers and visitors.
AIT Commercial Section sincerely invites professionals, importers, and distributors who plan to purchase U.S. products to participate in the International Buyer Program to the IFT Food Expo.
Local businesses and importers who join the IBP through the AIT Commercial Section can enjoy multiple value-added services, including helping with the admissions process and providing business matchmaking services at the Expo. Participants will also receive complimentary admission to the IFT Food Expo. To sign up, please contact King-Young International Travel Service by May 16 at (02) 2581-7365.
