U.S. Pavilion Features "American Leisure Tour" at Taipei International Travel Fair 2007

The See America Committee and AIT's Commercial Section are pleased to announce that "American Leisure Tour" will be the theme for American Pavilion at the Taipei International Travel Fair to be held at the Taipei World Trade Center December 14 - 17, 2007.

The states of Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Texas and Wyoming, plus Guam and Best Western Hotels will highlight their attractions at the travel fair.  The colorful ocean world of Guam; the magnificent Hawaiian surf; Yellowstone National Park, which spans across Montana, Idaho and Wyoming; the Native American culture of the Western states; the Eskimo culture of Alaska; and the cowboys of Texas are some of the destinations to be featured at the exhibit.

This year's American Pavilion will also present the "American Leisure Tour" photo contest.  The prizes include three Taipei-USA round trip airline tickets, free car rentals, etc., with total prizes valued at NT$300,000.  The public will have a chance to win airline tickets and special prizes from the exhibiting states.  A professional photographer will be available to take the winners' photographs and transform them into souvenir magazine covers.

The "American Leisure Tour" photo contest is an internet photograph contest and scavenger hunt.  Those who cannot visit the trade fair may also participate.  Participants can post online their photos taken in the US or look for answers by joining the internet scavenger hunt.  The Internet photo contest and scavenger hunt will continue until January 2008.  The public is encouraged to join in and win.
