PR0754E | Date: 2007-09-28
On October 1, 2007, the EducationUSA Educational Advising Service sponsored by the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) is pleased to sponsor free one-on-one educational advising at the Taichung American Corner. Using an Internet-based chat software, Taichung-area students and their parents can speak to certified EducationUSA advisors based at the Foundation for Scholarly Exchange in Taipei.
The one-on-one sessions, which will last about 30 minutes, will be offered on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. They are intended to assist Taichung-area students and their parents who may have specific questions on making a study plan, applying to a U.S. college or university, getting financial aid, finding information on a U.S. student visa, and preparing for departure.
In addition to speaking one-on-one with an EducationUSA adviser via the Internet, students can also use the computers at the Taichung American Corner to search for information on U.S. schools. Students are also welcome to attend monthly free group EducationUSA advising sessions.
Additional information on education fairs, useful publication and free group advising sessions can be found at: www.EducationUSA.org.tw
