Press Release

The U.S. Pavilion at Food Taipei 2006 Taipei World Trade Center June 21-24, 2006

PR0628E | Date: 2006-06-15

The American Institute in Taiwan's Agricultural Trade Office (ATO) is proud to announce that it will sponsor the U.S. Pavilion at the 2006 Taipei International Food Show.  This year's U.S. Pavilion will be one of the largest and the most exciting pavilions ever presented by ATO or any other exhibitor at this important event.

More than 60 American food companies will display their products at the 75-booth U.S. Pavilion.  They will exhibit a wide range of high-quality items, including American wine and beef, dairy, potato, processed food, health and organic food products.

AIT warmly invites Taiwan food industry executives, importers, retailers, and media representatives to visit the U.S. Pavilion to review the products and attend professional seminars. This event is your chance to see what's new in processed food products, and what will be displayed on supermarket shelves and restaurant menus in the near future. Please stop by and see us!

Taiwan is the 6th largest market in the world for U.S. agricultural products.  In 2005, Taiwan imported more than $9.4 billion worth of food and agricultural products - more than 30 percent of its imports came from the United States.  U.S. consumer-oriented products accounted for nearly $630 million. It is a relationship in which both sides benefit significantly, and a partnership that we look forward to continuing and growing over the long term.
