The "U.S. Express: Art Video Culture" comprises five and one-half hours of video programming produced by American Independent media makers from the 1970s to the present.  This program showcases the history of video as an art form in the U.S., and presents examples of video graphics experiments, documentaries, and narrative shorts combined with examples of artists' work in this field beginning in the early 1970s.  The program offers viewers around the world a window into aspects of contemporary life in the United States not often featured in mainstream commercial media.  Some program examples include the New York City Double Dutch Jump Rope Championships; the World Indian Eskimo Olympics; the House -O-Matics, Chicago's Award-winning break dancing troup; excerpts from performances by award-winning U.S. composers Philip Glass and Steve Reich, etc.

The series includes more than 80 short videos made by 50 artists living and working in the U.S., including Nam June Paik, recipient of the presidential medal of the arts; leaders in the field of video art such as Beryl Korot, Mary Lucier, Juan Downey, Chip Lord, and noted art groups such as Ant Farm, Videofreex, MICA-TV, TwinArt and Paper Rad.  "U.S. Express" was created by award-winning video maker Skip Blumberg and includes several of his own videos, including the Emmy-winning "Pick Up Your Feet: The Double-Dutch Show".
