U.S. Senator John D. Rockefeller IV to Visit Taiwan May 28-30

U.S. Senator John D. Rockefeller IV (D-WV) will visit Taiwan May 28-30 as part of a trip to Asia, during which he will also travel to Japan.

While in Taiwan, Senator Rockefeller will meet with President Chen Shui-bian, Premier Frank Hsieh, senior-level government officials, and private-sector leaders to discuss international trade and economic matters.

Senator Rockefeller was first elected to the United States Senate in 1984, and presently serves on the U.S. Senate Finance Committee.  He last visited Taiwan in 2000 to attend the World Congress on Information Technology.
