Idaho Governor Dirk Kempthorne will visit Taiwan May 25-28 as the head of a delegation consisting of representatives from 23 companies and organizations from the state of Idaho.
The visit to Taiwan is the last stop of a two-week trade mission to Asia, during which Governor Kempthorne visited business and government representatives in Japan, South Korea, and China.
While in Taiwan, Governor Kempthorne will call on President Chen Shui-bian, Premier Frank Hsieh, officials of the Council of Agriculture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and business leaders.
Taiwan is Idaho's fifth largest export market. In 2004, Idaho's exports to Taiwan totaled about NT$10 billion.
