The American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) is pleased to announce that the AIT Kaohsiung Commercial Section will host a 2005 American Products E Show from May 19 through July 31, 2005.  The Show, which will be launched at 11:00 am, May 19 at AIT's Kaohsiung Branch Office, was developed by the AIT Commercial Section in partnership with the economic development agencies of the U.S. States of Idaho, Oregon, Washington, New Mexico, Florida, Kansas, New Jersey and Montana.

The American Products E Show will feature a broad array of information on the products of over 350 U.S. companies in three major industrial sectors —

  • Industrial equipment, including machinery, parts, inventory control systems, packing systems, and quality control equipment.
  • Environmental services and products, including industrial waste treatment, air pollution control systems, wastewater processors, and equipment and products related to the petrochemical industry.
  • Construction equipment and materials, including innovative products and materials related to construction of module housing, advanced construction technologies and equipment and material for greenhouses.

The 2005 American Products E Show was developed in response to requests from Taiwan companies for more information on U.S. products in these three critical sectors.  In addition, the Show will feature a number of other companies and products of interest to Taiwan companies outside these core sectors.  The Show will provide an opportunity for Taiwan distributors and other companies to learn more about the most advanced technologies the U.S. has to offer in these key sectors.

AIT Kaohsiung Commercial staff will provide seminars to Show participants on how best to utilize the 2005 American Products E Show's resources.  Public-access workstations in AIT/K's reception area will allow interested Taiwan companies to access overviews of the participating U.S. companies in Chinese along with step-by-step instructions on how to gain additional information.  During the Show, participants will also be able to view sample product images displayed on a big screen and, using advanced technologies, 3-D images of a number of famous American products.  AIT/K Commercial staff will also be available by appointment to meet with any interested company or individual for a more in-depth review of the Show's materials and further information on any American product or company.

A ceremony to launch the 2005 American Products E Show will be held on May 19 in the AIT/K Multipurpose Room.  AIT/K Branch Chief Mr. Robert Forden and AIT Commercial Section Chief from Taipei, Mr. Greg Loose, will be present to greet participants and make introductory remarks on the Show.
