Dana Shell Smith Assumes Duties as New AIT Public Affairs Section Chief
Dana Shell Smith took up her duties as the new Chief of the Public Affairs Section and Spokesperson for AIT Taipei June 25, 2004.
A career U.S. Foreign Service officer for 12 years, Ms. Smith has served in Jordan, Israel and Egypt. Ms. Smith graduated from the University of California at San Diego, with a BA in Political Science and Middle East studies. She speaks Chinese, Arabic, Hebrew and Spanish.
Ms. Smith is married to Ray Smith, also of the American Institute in Taiwan. They have two children.
