American Cultural Center Continues Video Series on U.S. History
The American Cultural Center will show the second three parts: Part IV "Wake Up America," Part V "A Fatal Contradiction," and Part VI "A War to End Slavery" of the video series "Freedom: A History of US," on Wednesday, August 13, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. This 16-part video series is adapted from Joy Hakim's award-winning books. It narrates American history from a renewed focus on freedom, and thus helps the audience systematically and thoroughly understand the United States and her democracy. The narrators include famous U.S. movie stars such as Paul Newman and Tom Hanks. The series is in English with no Chinese subtitles.
