Bipartisan Senate Delegation to Visit Taiwan April 18-19
Senator Bill Frist (R-Tennessee), Senate Majority Leader, will lead a bipartisan U.S. Senate delegation to visit Taipei from April 18 to 19.
During the two-day visit, the delegation will meet with President Chen Shui-bian and other political and business leaders in Taiwan to discuss issues of mutual interest.
Members of the delegation include Senator Don Nickles (R-Oklahoma), Conrad Burns (R-Montana), Susan Collins (R-Maine), Lincoln Chafee (R-Rhode Island), Bill Nelson (D-Florida), Ben Nelson (D-Nebraska), and Mark Dayton (D-Minnesota).
Taipei is the third stop of the delegation's trip to Asia after Tokyo and Seoul. Its next stop is Beijing.
