U.S. Nonimmigration Visa Application Fee
The U.S. Department of State has announced that effective December 1, 2002, all nonimmigrant visa applications must be accompanied by application fee receipts totaling U.S. $100 which is the application fee that became effective November 1, 2002. Applicants who purchased application fee receipts prior to November 1, 2002, for less than U.S. $100 will be required to purchase a supplemental receipt to bring the total to U.S. $100 for nonimmigrant visa applications submitted after November 30, 2002.
Application fee receipts for amounts less than U.S. $100 purchased prior to November 1, 2002, remain valid for one year from date of purchase; however, if submitted with an application after November 30, 2002, they must be accompanied by a supplemental receipt to bring the total to U.S.$100.
Nonimmigrant visa applicants at the American Institute in Taiwan Taipei and Kaohsiung offices may purchase receipts at the Post Office account number 19189005. The Nonimmigrant Visa Unit at the American Institute in Taiwan in Taipei accepts applications Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The Nonimmigrant Visa unit will be closed Thursday, November 28 and Monday, December 2, 2002.
