The Agricultural Trade Office of the American Institute in Taiwan is sponsoring the largest country pavilion at the 2002 Taipei International Food Show to be held at the Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall from June 12th through the 15th. This year, 42 U.S. companies will participate in the American Pavilion.

The United States is Taiwan's largest and most reliable supplier of food products. In fact, a large percentage of the food products bought in Taiwan's grocery stores or consumed in restaurants use ingredients grown and produced in the United States. The 42-booth American Pavilion at the 2002 Taipei International Food Show is evidence to its prominent role as the largest supplier of quality food products to Taiwan,

The 2002 American Food Pavilion will feature:

?A wide variety of food products, including dried/frozen fruits, nuts, pretzels and other baked products, fruit ice bars, coffee beans, syrups, sauces, condiments, sunflower and other cooking oils, beverages, soybean products, tortillas and related products, salsa and other sauces, US Department of Agriculture Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) fresh and frozen red meat, frozen potato products, frozen prepared foods, popcorn, chicken meat and other poultry products, US rice, and more. Exhibitors are either looking to expand current business or seeking new agents to launch competitive new products in Taiwan.

?A series of topical seminars, including "Using DaVinci Flavored Syrups to Create Exciting Beverage and Baked Products" and "GMO and Non-GMO Soybeans and Wheat". Seminars will be held in the World Trade Center's Conference Room #3 on June 13th.

AIT warmly invites Taiwan food industry executives, importers, retailers, and media representatives to visit the American Pavilion.
