峇裡島的皮影戲 (Shadow
Puppet)
世界各地的人們已經表演皮影戲達數百年。峇裡島上的某些人相信皮影戲偶擁有靈力，所以只有遇到特殊的日子，如：結婚、生日及節慶，才會上演皮影戲。皮偶會在一個半透明的(可以看穿的)幕後表演，光線來自幕後，坐在幕前的觀眾只會看到皮偶的影子，而不是真實的皮偶。照片中景物為皮影戲後台的皮偶及樂師。
People all over the world have been performing shadow puppet plays for hundreds of years. In Bali, some people believe that the puppets possess spiritual powers, so the plays are usually performed on special days like weddings, birthdays, and festivals. The puppets perform behind a translucent (see-through) screen that is lit from behind. The audience sees the shadows of the puppets, not the actual puppets. In this photo you can see the puppets and musicians in the backstage of a shadow puppet theater.
