Singing games are often played by standing in a circle while singing the song, so they became known as ring games. In "Itiskit-Itasket" a handkerchief is dropped at a certain point and then a chase begins.

This particular recording of Itiskit-Itasket came from a group of African American girls playing in a schoolyard in Newton County, Texas, in 1939. Do you remember this song? Do you know different words to the song?
