艾莉斯‧沃克

艾莉斯‧沃克(1944─)生於佐治亞，就讀 於薩拉勞倫斯學院。她是個小說、散文和詩歌的多產作家。她的長篇小說有《麥瑞迪安》和《紫色》。她的關於婦女的散文以《尋找我們母親的花園》一書出了選集。艾莉斯‧沃克還寫了蘭斯頓‧休斯的傳記，編輯出版了佐拉‧尼爾‧赫斯頓作品選。她的《晚安，威利‧李，我明早見你》一詩最初刊登在l975年的《洛瓦評論》上，1979年出版了以該詩標題為書名的詩選。

And it was then I knew that the healing
of all our wounds
is forgiveness
that permits a promise
