紐約的無線電城音樂廳 (Radio
City Music Hall) 正式對外開放

無線電城音樂廳是洛克斐勒中心的一部分建築，這個座落在曼哈頓中城區的中心佔地約12英畝，是由商業鉅子約翰‧洛克斐勒二世 (John
D. Rockefeller Jr.) 於1929年至1940年興建的大樓。這塊地是他向哥倫比亞大學承租來的。洛克斐勒最初計畫在這裡興建一棟歌劇院，但是在1929年的股票市場大崩盤後，他改變了心意。這棟建築物的第一批承租人之一是美國無線電公司 (Radio

The Radio City Music Hall is part of Rockefeller Center, a 12-acre complex in midtown Manhattan developed between 1929 and 1940 by business tycoon John D. Rockefeller Jr. He leased the land from Columbia University. Rockefeller initially planned an opera house on the site, but changed his mind after the stock market crash of 1929. One of the complex's first tenants was the Radio Corporation of America (RCA), hence the names "Radio City" and "Radio City Music Hall."
